The M5 Technical Manager's Forum
The M5 Technical Manager's Forum was formed in 2013 to improve links between technical staff in the region and this has gone from strength to strength since then. The forum has provided a mechanism and network for institutions to share information, resources and expertise relating to technical services across the M5 consortia. After several successful meetings the forum is currently developing the M5 Technical Skills Network, (an online community of M5 technicians) and planning the inaugural M5 Technical Conference (to be in held in 2015).
The M5 is committed to the continued development of our expert technical teams and recognises the importance of highly skilled and expert technical staff in delivering research and teaching on an international stage. The work of member institutions in this area has been recognised with external awards from the Higher Education Academy and the S-Lab Supporting World Class Science Awards.
